RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Pakistan wrapped up a dominant series performance with a six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the third ODI on Sunday, completing a 3–0 clean sweep at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The win was anchored by a composed, match-defining innings from Mohammad Rizwan, who guided the chase with an unbeaten 61 off 92 balls.

Chasing 212, Pakistan overcame early jitters after the dismissal of Haseebullah for a duck, thanks largely to an explosive start from Fakhar Zaman.

The left-hander smashed 55 off 45 balls, striking eight boundaries before falling with the score at 82.

Captain-in-waiting Babar Azam added 34, but his dismissal left Pakistan needing stability, something Rizwan delivered with clinical calm.

Rizwan found a dependable partner in Hussain Talat, whose unbeaten 42 off 57 ensured Pakistan crossed the line comfortably with 32 balls to spare.

The duo’s unbroken stand sealed the series in emphatic fashion, extinguishing any hopes of a Sri Lankan fightback.

Earlier, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 211 in 45.2 overs, unable to withstand Pakistan’s well-rounded bowling attack.

Mohammad Wasim led the charge with 3 for 47, while Haris Rauf (2–38) and Faisal Akram (2–42) struck at key moments. Shaheen Afridi and Faheem Ashraf added a wicket each.

Sadeera Samarawickrama (48) and Kusal Mendis (34) provided resistance, but regular breakthroughs prevented Sri Lanka from mounting a sizeable total.

Sri Lanka’s collapse, from 166 for 5 to 211 all out, ultimately left them well short, as Pakistan’s discipline with both ball and bat capped off a series they controlled from start to finish.

This triumph marked Pakistan’s third ODI series whitewash against Sri Lanka, underscoring their dominance in home conditions and their growing depth ahead of a packed international calendar.

With emerging talents stepping up and senior players delivering when needed, Pakistan’s clinical sweep sends a strong statement: the Men in Green are building momentum, and building it fast.
