Riyadh’s Al-Wahah, Salahiddine are Named King Salman Neighborhood

The development and naming of these neighborhoods will be a milestone initiative as part of the current projects to upgrade Riyadh and place it on top of the global map as one of the most significant tourism and economic destinations.

Located in the center of the country’s capital, the King Salman Neighborhood covers about an area of 6.6 square kilometers and is head-to-head to King Salman Park. The Salmani architecture will be the major trademark of the public facilities in this neighborhood.

Its development is a key part of the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to develop Riyadh one of the top ten cities in the world.

The project seeks to realize several goals, including increasing the quality of important services and entertainment activities, encouraging the overall sustainability of the neighborhood to increase the quality of life, and generating an interactive urban environment that raises social ties for the population.

The aim of the Crown Prince’s decision is to increase the quality of basic services and entertainment activities, in addition to making an urban and architectural identity for the public facilities in the neighborhood, originating from the Salmani architecture and its principles.

The project is an extension of the Crown Prince’s great concern and support for the progress and development of cities so as to stimulate public and economic development.

The use of Salmani architecture for public facilities in this neighborhood aims at giving the venue a special identity, encouraged by the projects launched by King Salman during his tenure as emir of Riyadh.

It is an architectural concept that embodies modernity and originality and that demonstrates the extent of the interest of the King in the architecture and identity of Najdi-inspired Riyadh.

While evolving the neighborhood, facilitating the walkers’ movement between various locations and institutions will be given top consideration, which is one of the key significant developments that the Riyadh mayoralty is working on in the capital.

This is one of Riyadh’s environmental and developmental projects, which will be executed to translate the Crown Prince’s persuasion that cities have to develop their economies and also boost economic development.

It is bound to upgrade the Kingdom’s capital city and place it on the global map as one of the most significant tourism and economic destinations.

This is also an extension of the vision for development of Riyadh, which is reflected in the plans of the city mayoralty that aimed at strengthening the public’s bond with its environment and enhance the quality of life in its several neighborhoods, under the umbrella of the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the KSA’s regions and cities under the Saudi Vision 2030.
