RIYADH: The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language will host its third international conference in Riyadh, tackling “Arabic language computing and linguistic data enrichment”, from October 6 to 7, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.
The event is likely to draw local, regional, and global institutions involved in the field. University professors, and 40 researchers from 22 countries representing entities specialized in the fields, including computational linguistics, computer science, and Arabic language will take part in the event.
The academy through this conference, hopes to contribute to the integration of the work of computer scientists and linguists in computational linguistics, present their work and projects, bridge the knowledge gap and enrich Arabic datasets to improve and develop AI models. It also seeks to support Arabic language automated processing and make it accessible, in line with the goals of the Human Capability Development Program, one of Saudi Vision 2030 programs.
The event will address topics pertaining to the automated processing of the Arabic language, including machine learning, automated recognition of images, speech-to-text conversion and topics related to computational linguistics, used in learning and teaching Arabic.
