RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) cabinet on Tuesday said that it looks forward to a new chapter of Saudi-Iranian ties based on mutual respect and common interests.
According to Arab News, the remarks came after Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian visited Saudi Arabia for the first time on Thursday after a reconciliation between the two nations in March.

The Cabinet added that it is following the measures taken toward executing the deal to resume diplomatic ties between Riyadh and Tehran, including the ambassadors of the two nations carrying out their duties.
The Cabinet was also briefed about the recent telephone conversation between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The two leaders reviewed aspects of joint cooperation and discussed regional and global developments during the phone call.
