ISLAMABAD: The Federal Flood Commission said on Wednesday that River Indus was still flowing in medium flood at Guddu and Sukkur and at a low flood level at Taunsa Barrage.
As per the daily FFC report on Wednesday, Rivers Ravi at Head Sidhnai and Sutlej at Suleimanki and Islam are witnessing low flood levels, while Rivers Jhelum and Chenab are discharging normal flows.
Water Level in Tarbela Reservoir
Tarbela Reservoir has reached a water level of 1539.79 feet, whereas Mangla Reservoir is at an elevation of 1230.30 feet.
Moreover, scattered wind thunderstorms and rain of light to moderate intensity with isolated heavy falls have been predicted by FFD in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Peshawar, Kohat and Bannu Divisions, including upper catchments of all the main rivers of IRS during the next twenty-four hours.
Monsoon activity over the upper half of the country may increase during the next forty-eight hours. Also, a wet spell of moderate intensity with heavy rains in scattered areas is likely over the upper catchments of all the main rivers from 4 August, which may continue till 7 August.
