ISLAMABAD: Rising Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna is going to be the first artist to perform in Arabic at Coachella, the famous music festival held every year in Indio, California.
The twenty-year-old will perform at the highly anticipated festival in California with headliner artists Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny, and Blackpink over 2 weekends, from 14 April to 16 and 21 April to 23, Arab media reported on Sunday.
Elyanna’s first album features Arabic songs
She released her self-titled debut EP in 2020, which featured Arabic songs with a strong electronic influence and her dynamic vocals.
She said in an interview that is influenced by both her Arab and Latin ancestry, which has provided her access to rhythms from both cultures.
The singer recently performed her biggest show at SOUNDSTORM, the biggest music festival in the Middle East. On 3 December, she wowed crowds in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with an impressive list of her most popular songs and mesmerizing choreography.
Taking to Instagram, the rising star said that she was honored and thankful for all love and support she received in the past couple of days.
Lebanese singer Massari, US-Iraqi businesswoman Huda Kattan, Dutch-Palestinian supermodel Bella Hadid, Palestinian singer Noel Kharman, Egyptian rapper Felukah, and Syrian swimmer Yusra Mardini are just a few of her famous admirers who congratulated the singer on Instagram.
