WASHINGTON: Bill Cassidy, the Republican senator says former President Donald Trump should quit the Presidential race as he is not in a position to win against Democratic President Joe Biden, western media reported on Sunday.
Cassidy, is among of of seven Senate Republicans who voted against Trump at the second impeachment trial in 2021.
The Senator strongly believed it is evident from the federal documents that Trump has committed crimes, so the voters should not elect a person who was involved in criminal acts while being a president.
He said it is up to Trump to decide about his presidential run but he will lose to Joe Biden according to the current polls.
