RIYADH: The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, has pledged his full support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the World Expo 2030. The announcement came during a meeting between President Nguesso and Saudi Royal Court adviser Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, who is currently visiting Brazzaville.
Expressing his country’s support, President Nguesso highlighted the strong and distinguished relations between the Republic of the Congo and Saudi Arabia. In response, Kattan thanked the president and conveyed the Kingdom’s appreciation for the Congo’s backing of Saudi Arabia’s bid.
Bilateral Relations Between DR Congo and Saudi Arabia
During the meeting, Kattan also delivered a verbal message from King Salman to President Nguesso, focusing on bilateral relations and opportunities to strengthen joint cooperation between the two nations.
In addition to discussing bilateral matters, Kattan and Nguesso reviewed regional and international events of mutual interest, highlighting the importance of collaboration and coordination on common issues.
