HANOI: The American renowned singer and songwriter is all set to perform at much anticipated 2023 VinFuture Prize Award Ceremony, which is going to take place at Ho Guom Opera House, Hanoi on December 20.
According to VinFuture, the ceremony would be held under the theme of “Boundless Unity,” serves as the grand forum for unveiling the Laureates of the VinFuture Prize Season 3.
There are about 1,400 nominations from over 90 countries and territories worldwide.
Beyond honoring outstanding innovation and recognizing distinguished international scientists, the focal point of the award ceremony is the performance by an internationally renowned singer.
VinFuture has recently revealed that the program for this year’s Award Ceremony will have a performance by the internationally acclaimed artist, Katy Perry.
This will be Katy Perry’s third visit to Vietnam; but it will be her first performance in the country as a singer.
During her past visits, she engaged in a forum in Ho Chi Minh City in 2015 and traveled to the country as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
The organizers of the ceremony have not disclosed about the specific songs that Katy Perry will going to sing during the award ceremony.
They say that Katy Perry’s performances would be a tribute to the tireless efforts of scientists in advancing their works and technologies that help millions around the world.
The VinFuture Foundation was established on International Human Solidarity Day on December 20th, 2020. Its main activity is awarding the annual VinFuture Prize, which recognizes scientific and technological innovations.
