Renowned Host, Artist Dildar Bhatti Remembered on His 74th Birthday

ISLAMABAD: The famous Television and Radio host, author, actor, and columnist late Dildar Pervaiz Bhatti was remembered on his 74th birthday on Wednesday.

Born in Gujranwala on 30 November 1948, Bhatti received his early education in Gujranwala and he actively participated in the debating and entertainment activities in his student life.

After receiving his Master’s degree in English Literature, he started his practical life as a lecturer at Government College Sahiwal, but soon shifted to Lahore.

Renowned Host Entered Entertainment Industry in 70s

He entered the entertainment industry in the early 70s where he hosted a Radio program ‘Sohni Dharti’. Then he started acting in PTV dramas and also worked as a newscaster in the same channel. He shot to fame with his popular TV show ‘Takra’ and became a household name with his excellent hosting style.

He was also a successful author who wrote several books including Dildarian, Amna Samna, and Dilbar Dildar. Moreover, he worked as a columnist with different newspapers and wrote columns on different issues.

Bhatti died due to brain hemorrhage in New York in 1994. –APP
