PESHAWAR: Prominent religious scholars in Pakistan have labeled the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists as a “fitna” for the people of Pakistan, denouncing the group’s distortion and misinterpretation of Islam to justify violence and hatred for their own nefarious agenda.
The TTP, referred to as Khawariji terrorists, is involved in committing heinous crimes in the name of their so-called Jihad. The group has widely tarnished the soft image of Islam due to their actions. Prominent religious scholars, in the Paigham-e-Pakistan Fatwa, have explicitly declared the brutal acts of terrorism by TTP as “haram.” However, the TTP continues to disregard the unanimous stance of these scholars, imposing their own brands of Islam.
Beyond religious grounds, the TTP terrorists are not only enemies of Islam but also against the people and development in Pakistan. The group is consistently working against developmental projects and the welfare of local residents in tribal districts and Balochistan. Their involvement in target killings, suicide bombings, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, drug smuggling, and repeated damage to government and civilian properties reflects their anti-people and anti-development agenda.
TTP Terrorists’ Involvement in Immoral Activities
The TTP terrorists are also involved in immoral activities, which tarnish Pakistan’s rich cultural and ethical values. The group is exploiting young recruits for lustful activities, engaging in extortion, ransom, intimidation, and employing fear tactics for financial gain and power.
The TTP operates as a puppet of external forces, foreign-funded to disrupt peace in Pakistan. The group’s actions, fueled by monetary support from external sources, are seen as a betrayal of Islamic teachings, humanity, ethics, and morality.
The modern weapons and military gadgetry employed by TTP members are sponsored by enemies of Pakistan. Questions are raised about the source of these resources and the luxurious lifestyles some TTP members enjoy in Afghanistan. The TTP needs to answer the public questions regarding the origin of their weaponry and the extent to which external actors influence them.
The TTP terrorists’ motives are challenged, as their primary objectives are financial gain and influence, leading them to pursue their agenda at any cost. Religious scholars in Pakistan continue to call for unity against the destructive influence of the TTP terrorists and its distortion of Islamic principles.
