TABUK: The Red Sea International Airport (RSI) is set to receive its first international flight originating from Dubai on April 18, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
The airport is known for its sustainable tourism projects such as the Red Sea and Amaala destinations.
The flight operated by Flydubai will arrive at the RSI, from Dubai International Airport on Thursday, April 18, marking the beginning of a new international route.
The airline will operate two flights per week – on Thursdays and Sundays. The new international route aligns with the current domestic flights operated by Saudi Airlines from Riyadh and Jeddah since September 2023.
With the addition of Flydubai flights, the Red Sea International Airport will now handle eight flights per week, further improving connectivity for residents of the Red Sea regions along the western coast of Saudi Arabia.
This development signifies a major step forward, connecting these regions to international destinations via Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
