JEDDAH: The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) announced Monday that it has begun taking submissions for its third edition from Asian, Arab, and African filmmakers, distributors, and Saudi filmmakers to present their short and feature films until August 18, 2023.
The festival is scheduled between November 30 and December 9, 2023.
The festival’s third edition program has 11 sections featuring films from contemporary Arab and international cinema. It includes experimental films, augmented reality, virtual reality projects with futuristic themes, and chosen Saudi narratives, short films, and documentaries. It also contains Saudi narrative features and short films.
These sections showcase the artistic output of the Kingdom’s forerunners of the developing cinema movement, showcasing them to the world and illuminating local cinema’s varied and dynamic facets.
