RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Liaquat Ali Chatta, has announced that construction work on the 38.3 km Rawalpindi Ring Road project has commenced and is scheduled for completion within one year.

The Ring Road will feature five interchanges at strategic points, including Banth, Chak Bali Khan, Adiala Road, Chakri Road, and Thalian, with plans for the establishment of industrial zones along its route.

Chatta emphasized the significance of the Ring Road as a pivotal public welfare project and dispelled rumors of its shelving. He highlighted the project’s potential to create market linkages for economic zones and generate alternative business opportunities for the local business community.

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) plays a vital role in the implementation of development projects, contributing to the city’s rapid progress.

The Ring Road project aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the city and improve the mobility of residents in adjacent areas, marking a new chapter in Rawalpindi’s development.
