KARACHI: The joint snap checking operation conducted by Pakistan Rangers Sindh and Police in the Manghopir area of the city yielded successful results as four suspects engaged in street crimes were apprehended.
As per the news release on Friday, the arrested individuals, identified as Danish, Rehman, Ali, and Ali Raza, were found in possession of arms, ammunition, and stolen mobile phones. Recovered items included a 30 bore pistol, a 9mm pistol with rounds, and a motorcycle.
Preliminary investigations unveiled that these suspects had been actively involved in street crimes across various localities, including Manghopir, New Karachi, and North Karachi.
Their modus operandi primarily revolved around threatening pedestrians and shopkeepers at gunpoint to snatch mobile phones and cash. With a history of criminal activities, these individuals have multiple cases registered against them at different police stations. Consequently, the apprehended suspects, alongside the confiscated weapons and other evidence, were handed over to the police for further legal procedures.
