ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Saturday claimed that Zaman Park had been cleared, and police found 16 rifles in the PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s residence.
“Zaman Park was turned into a ‘no-go area’, causing hassle for the general public,” Rana Sanaullah said. “IG Punjab will bring all things before the nation,” the interior minister said.
“Police had a search warrant for the PTI Chairman’s home and found 16 rifles from the residence,” Sanaullah said.
“People also pelted stones at police personnel today, who went to the area to clear the ‘no-go area’, the minister said.
“All ‘terrorists’ in Zaman Park residence have been arrested, while bombs and arms have been found,” claimed Rana Sanaullah.
Bomb-making factory at Zaman Park
The interior minister claimed that a bullet-proof bunker had been built in Imran Khan’s residence. He said policemen did not enter the house as Imran Khan’s wife was staying there.
“A bomb-making factory was found inside Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence. What is found from the premises will be produced before the court,” Sanaullah said.
Rana Sanaullah said that there is no plan to arrest the PTI Chairman; he is appearing before the court, “it was our objective”, the minister said.
Rana Sanaullah alleged that Imran Khan intends to create anarchy and chaos. He has changed politics into enmity. “If the PTI wants to talk, it should contact the prime minister,” the federal minister said.
