RIYADH: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has called for unified action from Muslim countries to impose oil and goods sanctions on Israel and designate the Israeli army as a “terrorist group.”
Addressing the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh on Saturday, hosted by Saudi Arabia in response to the dire situation in the Gaza Strip, Raisi accused Israel of using internationally banned weapons and violating international humanitarian laws in Gaza.
Raisi Declares US a Crime Partner of Israel
Raisi declared the United States a major partner in Israel’s actions against Gaza, citing unconditional backing of aggression and the daily provision of weapons. He urged Islamic nations to collaborate and exert pressure on both Israel and the United States to cease hostilities.
“The top priority now is a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip,” Raisi asserted, adding, “We must work to remove Israeli forces from Gaza.” He stressed that the time for action had come, emphasizing the importance of unity among Islamic countries.
