JEDDAH: Experts have said that the rain seeding operations are not responsible for the heavy rains in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Experts’ View on Rain
Analyst Aqeel Al-Aqeel, at the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said that the rain seeding operations are not linked with the recent heavy rains in the city. He made the remarks during an interview while commenting on the rain condition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially in Jeddah.
Jeddah Municipality said that it has sent Rescue teams, equipment, and machinery to 16 sub-municipalities and 13 support centers to deal with the situation.
The spokesperson of the Jeddah Municipality, Mohammad Al-Baqami told the media that the field plan that they executed included withdrawing water pools. He further said that efforts are underway to overcome the effects of the rainy situation.
