ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday said that a westerly wave is expected to enter northern Balochistan on 18 January and produce rain with snowfall in the hilly parts of the province till January 19.
The weather system is expected to bring rainfall with isolated heavy rain in Quetta, Barkhan, Nokkundi, Qilla Abdullah, Muslim Bagh, Harnai, Qilla Saifullah, Dalbandin, Kalat, Chaman, Pishin, Zhob, Ziarat, Khuzdar, Makran coast, Panjgur, and Turbat on 18 and 19 January.
Partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions are likely in the rest of the country during the period.
Moderate rain
The Metrological Department has said that moderate rain with isolated heavy snowfall may disrupt and cause the closure of the roads in parts of northern Balochistan. Tourists are advised to be extra cautious during the spell.
