Rain-wind Thundershower Expected in Balochistan, Sindh, South Punjab

ISLAMABAD: In the upcoming twelve hours, widespread rain, accompanied by gusty winds and thundershowers are expected in several regions of Pakistan.

Balochistan, Sindh, and South Punjab are likely to experience these weather conditions while scattered areas in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, upper Punjab, and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to be affected.

Moreover, heavy rainfall is predicted in specific zones during this forecast period, with particular emphasis on south Punjab, northeast and south Balochistan, as well as Sindh.

Temperature readings recorded for the major cities this morning provide an insight into the current weather scenario. Islamabad registered a cool twenty-four degrees Celsius, Lahore experiences a slightly warmer twenty-eight degrees Celsius, while Karachi records twenty-seven degrees Celsius. Further up north, Peshawar witnesses a temperature of twenty-nine degrees Celsius, Quetta stands at twenty-two degrees Celsius, Gilgit at nineteen degrees Celsius, Murree at a refreshing seventeen degrees Celsius, and Muzaffarabad at a moderate twenty-three degrees Celsius.

In the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, as per the Met Office’s weather forecast, partly cloudy conditions are expected to prevail. There are prospects of rain, wind, and thundershowers in the cities of Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Shopian, Baramulla, and Pulwama.

Temperature recordings for this morning in these areas are as follows: Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, and Shopian register a pleasant sixteen degrees Celsius, while Jammu stands at twenty-four degrees Celsius. Leh experiences a comparatively cooler climate, recording a temperature of ten degrees Celsius, and Baramula is at a mild seventeen degrees Celsius.
