ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Met Office has predicted that a westerly wave is likely to enter in Balochistan on Monday’s night and may grip upper areas of the country on 26th February. However, it forecasts predominantly cold and dry conditions across much of the country, with particularly chilly temperatures and partly cloudy skies anticipated in the northern regions in next 12 hours.
There’s a possibility of light rain, accompanied by wind or thunderstorms (with snowfall likely over hills), at isolated locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and nearby mountainous areas. Central Punjab may experience isolated rain, wind, or thunderstorms during the evening or night.
Morning temperatures in major cities are reported as follows: Islamabad at four degrees Celsius, Lahore at twelve, Karachi at sixteen, Peshawar at five, Quetta at minus-two, Gilgit at minus-one, Murree at zero, and Muzaffarabad at four degrees Celsius.
In the forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, there’s an expectation of partly cloudy skies with the possibility of light rain, wind, thunderstorms, and light snow in cities such as Srinagar, Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, and Shopian.
This morning’s temperatures in the region are as follows: Srinagar and Pulwama at minus-two degrees Celsius, Jammu at eight, Leh at minus-seventeen, Anantnag at zero, and Shopian at one degree Celsius.
