Rain Expected at Various Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain with hailstorms at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan regions in the next 24 hours.

It also forecasts snowfall over high mountains in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in the coming hours.

PMD said rain and wind with thunderstorms may occur in the south of Punjab province while dry weather is likely to prevail with hot temperatures in southern parts of the country.

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave has hit the upper parts of Pakistan and is likely to prevail till Sunday.

During the last 24 hours, hot and dry weather recorded in most parts of the country. The highest temperatures were recorded in Shaheed Benazirabad 43C, Lasbella, Turbat and Padidan 42 C.
