KARACHI: Former host and singer Rabi Pirzada claimed that some TV dramas are responsible for raising cases of divorce in the country, as in such programs, wives are portrayed as problematic creatures for husbands.
Rabi Pirzada said that they are shown physically abusing their husbands, spitting on them, and then leaving their homes. “Such representations negatively impact the new generations who begin to focus on demanding their rights from others without realizing their duties and responsibilities towards them,” the celebrity said.
In response to a question regarding her personal life, the former host revealed that she receives proposals on daily basis, but does not discuss her personal life and allow people to intervene in her private matters.
She advised people to focus on the women and girls around them and consider proposing to them. She emphasized that currently, neither men nor women are getting married, which is a matter of concern.
