ISLAMABAD: Quetta Gladiators spinner Usman Tariq has been reported for a suspect bowling action during his team’s HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X match against Lahore Qalandars on Sunday evening.
The on-field umpires, Ahsan Raza and Chris Brown, raised concerns about Tariq’s bowling technique, prompting the report.
Under current regulations, Tariq is permitted to continue bowling in future matches.
However, a second report of a suspect action would result in an immediate suspension from bowling and require him to seek clearance from an ICC-accredited laboratory before he can return to the bowling crease.
The Gladiators will be hoping for a swift resolution as they look to maintain their competitive edge in the tournament.
