ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to providing moral and diplomatic support to the people of Palestine until their liberation from Zionist occupation, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders.

In his message marking Quds Day, observed annually on the last Friday of Holy Ramadan, the Prime Minister condemned the oppression inflicted by Israel and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, who have endured decades of illegal occupation and human rights violations.

Highlighting the dire situation, he emphasized that Israel’s aggression has intensified, resulting in 32,000 Palestinians being killed, including 17000 children, and 70,000 have been injured in Gaza. The Prime Minister called upon the global community to exert pressure on Israel to cease its oppressive actions against the Palestinians, underscoring Pakistan’s steadfast demand for justice.

Furthermore, he urged Muslims in Pakistan and around the world, particularly those observing the last Friday of Ramadan, to offer prayers for the well-being and liberation of their Palestinian and Kashmir.

Additionally, he called for prayers for peace, security, and prosperity in Pakistan, as well as efforts to address the country’s economic challenges.
