QUETTA: An earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale has jolted Quetta and its adjoining areas in Balochistan in the early hours of Monday, local media reported.

As per initial media reports, people came out of their houses in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. No loss of life or property was reported from any part of the province due to the quake.
National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, stated that the epicenter of the quake was located 25 km Northwest of Quetta at a depth of 15 kilometers.
