ISLAMABAD: Qatari Ambassador to Pakistan Sheikh Saud Bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani said on Tuesday that his country would soon be setting up two more visa centers in Pakistan.
In a meeting, the envoy informed the Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sajid Hussain Turi that Qatar’s Ministry of Interior had approved two more visa centers for Pakistan that would be opened soon.
Speaking at the occasion, the minister said that Pakistan has full capacity to meet the Qatar’s workforce demand and expressed wish to increase the transparency and pace of the immigration process for meeting up the targets.
“It is now needed to transform the relationship between the two countries into a solid economic partnership,” the minister added.
Want more employment opportunities for Pakistanis: Qatari envoy
The Ambassador said, “We wanted to create more employment opportunities for Pakistani talent in Qatar.” Both dignitaries also discussed enhancing employment opportunities for Pakistanis in Qatar and other matters of mutual interest during the meeting. They also reiterated the commitment to work together to further expand bilateral cooperation.
Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Turi congratulated Qatar for hosting the most successful FIFA World Cup ever. He said that sports activities like the FIFA world cup promote international peace.
Meanwhile, the Qatari Ambassador appreciated Pakistani security forces for providing foolproof security during the FIFA World Cup event. Pakistanis valued its bilateral relations with Qatar and considered it as their home, Turi added.
Ambassador Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani was keen to further expand ties with Pakistan as there was a deep affection and love in Qatar for Pakistan and its people.urgently sent
