RIYADH: Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim Al Thani on Sunday, in a phone call with the Saudi foreign minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Bin Abdullah, thanked Saudi Arabia for the evacuation of several Qatari citizens and other nationals from battle-stricken Sudan.
The Qatari minister praised the efforts by Saudi Arabia for the successful evacuation of nationals of brotherly and friendly countries.
Additionally, the two ministers discussed efforts to stop the military escalation between the conflicting parties in Sudan, put an end to violence, provide the necessary protection for Sudanese civilians, and defuse the escalating tensions in multiple vital locations inside Sudan.
The two side also exchanged Eid greetings and congratulations. — SPA
