TASHKENT: In a significant development, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held an official session of talks at Tashkent’s Convention Center on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they discussed several aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries to a strategic level, emphasizing a commitment to shared interests and fostering stronger ties between the peoples of Qatar and Uzbekistan.
Both leaders also delved into crucial regional and international matters of mutual concern, with a particular focus on the recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and Gaza.
Earlier today, Qatar Emir witnessed the award ceremony for the 7th edition of the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence (ACE) Award.
