LAHORE: The Punjab government has waived tuition fees for Kashmiri students studying in the province.
According to reports, a delegation of Kashmiri students studying in Punjab met with Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore. The students informed the Punjab caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of their problems.
Laptop for Kashmiri students
On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi, while waiving tuition fees for Kashmiri students in Punjab, announced that the provincial government would provide laptops to 200 Kashmiri students.
Naqvi also stated that the Bank of Punjab will be directed to open accounts for Kashmiri students and that steps will be taken to establish a special quota for Kashmiri students at Punjab medical colleges.
Mohsin Naqvi, the caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, also assured a visiting delegation of Kashmiri students that their visa issues would be resolved.
