Punjab Sports Board Signs MoU with Leading Orthopedic Surgeon for Athletes

LAHORE: Sports Board Punjab (SBP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan’s leading Orthopedic Surgeon, Doctor Amir Aziz, at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday here in Lahore.

According to details, Director General Sports Punjab, Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, signed the MoU with Doctor Amir Aziz to provide the best treatment to national athletes at Pakistan’s first Sports Medical Clinic. Director Admin Syed Umair Hassan and other officials were also present on this occasion.

Talking on this occasion, Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said that Sports Board Punjab would establish the country’s first-ever Sports Medical Clinic in the near future at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, where expert physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and nutritionists will be available for the treatment of national athletes free of cost. “Definitely, it is big news for Punjab’s male and female athletes,” he asserted.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said that now our players belonging to different games will have the services of top doctors to cure their various injuries, diseases, and ailments. “The basic purpose of this MoU is to provide the best health facilities to Pakistan’s top athletes and ensure fully fit players for big sports events,” he explained.

Pakistan’s leading Orthopedic Surgeon, Doctor Amir Aziz, said that setting up the country’s first Sports Medical Clinic is a revolutionary measure on the part of Sports Board Punjab. “It will be a great pleasure for me to treat the country’s top sports stars at the historic Sports Medical Clinic,” he added.
