ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has refuted rumors regarding the withdrawal of nomination papers by the PML-N’s candidates for the polls of Punjab Assembly, local media reported on Thursday.
Marriyum Refutes Rumors
She termed the reposts as “false” and “propaganda”, adding that the leadership of her party did not take such type of decisions.
The Minister said the political parties in the PML-N led coalition government wanted polls across the country simultaneously, but these media reports were completely “baseless”. She also asked the media to verify from the spokesperson and office bearers of the political parties before publishing such type of news.
Marriyum maintained that the political parties in the coalition government would take part in elections to contest against former Prime Minister and PTI chief Imran Khan in a ‘befitting way’.
