LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has reaffirmed his commitment to achieving full implementation of the healthcare improvement roadmap set forth by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Chairing a pivotal meeting of the Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education, Minister Rafique underscored the department’s dedication to enhancing healthcare services throughout the province.
He lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s visionary leadership, which prioritizes public health and aims to serve the people effectively.
Minister Rafique commended the relentless efforts of Secretary Health Punjab Ali Jan Khan and his team towards health system enhancement.
Emphasizing the importance of providing superior medical facilities, Minister Rafique instructed the health management to ensure excellence in patient care at government hospitals.
Furthermore, he directed the improvement of waste management systems in government hospitals and urged timely completion of ongoing developmental projects aimed at enhancing healthcare infrastructure.
The meeting included a comprehensive review of government hospital conditions, with Secretary Health Punjab Ali Jan Khan and other officials delivering detailed briefings.
Key attendees comprised Special Secretaries Syed Wajid Ali Shah and Raja Mansoor Ahmed, Additional Secretaries Zahida Azhar, Agha Nabeel, and Dr. Hafiz Shahid Latif, as well as Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti, and officers from the Primary and Secondary Health Care Department.
