Punjab Govt Announces Winter Dress Code for Students

LAHORE: Following the footstep of the federal government, the Punjab government has changed the policy of dress code for students amid the prevailing cold wave to save them from contracting seasonal diseases.

Notification for dress code

The Punjab’s School Education Department (SED) on Wednesday issued a notification, stating that all private and public schools in the province are required to ease up on their uniform policy. Students are allowed to wear any blazer, sweater, jacket, coat, cap, socks, and shoes in January and February to protect themselves from cold weather and stay warm. All private and public schools are directed to ensure compliance with these orders in letter and spirit.

Earlier, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has also directed the educational institutions of Islamabad to relax their uniform policy due to the cold weather. All private and public schools and colleges had been directed to allow the students to wear warm clothes of their choice in January and February.
