LAHORE: Qatar’s Ambassador Pakistan Ali Mubarak A.E. Al-Khater on Tuesday called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.
Matters of mutual interest and ways to explore potential investment opportunities in the province and facilitating the provision of a labour force were discussed in the meeting.
Both sides emphasized the importance of promoting economic cooperation and fostering mutual growth.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif took the opportunity to apprise the Qatari ambassador of the business-friendly policies implemented by the Punjab government.
Maryam Nawaz extended a warm invitation to Qatari businessmen and industrialists to consider investing in Punjab. She highlighted the region’s conducive environment for business.
In response, the Qatari ambassador commended Pakistan’s skilled workforce and expressed interest in increasing recruitment from Punjab for several skilled labour positions.
