Punjab CM Says Anyone Giving Anti-Army Statements is ‘Enemy of State’
In a statement via his twitter account, the caretaker Chief Minister said, “We shall not surrender to such anti-state propaganda,”.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued directives to the government of Punjab today to act immediately and arrest the vandals within 72 hours. The PM said after chairing a meeting in Lahore that he had given law enforcement agencies a target of 72 hours to arrest all responsible for facilitating, abetting, and perpetrating the disgraceful incidents of arson, ransacking, sabotage, and damaging public and private properties.
He added that all available resources, including technical support and intelligence, are being used to track down these miscreants.
The Prime Minister said that “Bringing these elements to justice is a test case for his government. Anti-terrorism courts will hear the cases,”, saying that such kind of terrorism is not acceptable.
