RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Arts Council (PAC) on Friday organized a photographic exhibition and protest walk to commemorate Kashmir’s Black Day.

Speaking at the event, the Director of the Arts Council, Waqar Ahmad, highlighted the deep connection between Pakistan and Kashmir, describing them as two bodies with one soul.

Ahmad noted that India had imposed a complete ban on freedom of expression in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), and journalists were facing violence.

He further pointed out India’s violations of the Geneva Convention and United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding IIOJK. The Punjab Arts Council has consistently portrayed the true image of IIOJK to the world, shedding light on India’s darkest chapter in history.

Ahmad expressed optimism that, despite the extensive condemnation, the darkness of cruelty would eventually dissipate, and freedom would prevail.
