PUC to Observe ‘Palestinian Martyrs Day’ Countrywide

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) on Thursday announced to hold the ‘Palestinian Martyrs Day’ on Friday across the country to show solidarity with Palestinians highlighting the importance of Al-Quds and unveiling the conspiracy designed to create discord in the Muslim world in the wake of ongoing Israeli barbarianism in Palestine.

PUC Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi talking to media persons strongly condemned the Israeli bombardment on a hospital in Gaza that martyred hundreds of civilians including children, women and elderly people.

He was of the view that the war crime act had saddened the entire Muslim world including the civilized nations in the world.

He stressed the urged to forge unity in the Muslim nations and counter anti-Islamic plots as recommended by Shariah.

Ashrafi said the Pakistani nation would make special prayers, hold peaceful demonstrations and raise their voices for the independence of Al-Aqsa, Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir at all available forums on the day.

He urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take adequate measures to stop the current Israeli brutalities on the innocent Palestinian people and find out a permanent solution of the Palestine cause.
