PUC Terms Terrorist Attacks in Pakistan Against Islam, Humanity

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) on Friday strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attacks in Mastung and Hangu areas terming them against humanity, Islam, and Pakistan.

Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi in a statement denounced the conspiracies by international terrorist organizations, including assistance from foreign elements, to spread insecurity in Pakistan.

The council said the religious scholars and leaders stood united with the public against the menace of terrorism and extremism. The PUC voiced its full support to the armed forces and security agencies in their efforts to eliminate terrorism and maintain peace in Pakistan.

Terrorists have no religion

Furthermore, the PUC stressed that those who target innocent civilians had no affiliation with any religion, especially Islam. The council added that India had been behind the unrest in the region and used international terrorist organizations to cause instability, not only in Pakistan but also in other states like Canada.

The PUC further voiced its support for Pakistan’s successful efforts in exposing and dismantling international terrorist networks operating within its borders.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to counter these evil designs and vowed to continue its struggle against the enemies of peace and stability.

In conclusion, the PUC said Pakistan’s security institutions, political and religious leaders, and the people have been resolutely facing the challenges of terrorism and they are determined not to let these conspiracies succeed in destabilizing the country and the region.
