LAHORE: PTI workers reportedly stormed a police vehicle at Zaman Park in Lahore on Saturday night. According to local media, the angry workers of PTI stopped the police vehicle when it was coming back after performing duty during Pakistan Super League (PSL-8) final match in the city. PTI workers allegedly attacked the vehicles with sticks and damaged the lights, glasses, and screen of the police vehicle. Police personnel escaped the site after PTI workers stormed the vehicle. It was the third incident of its nature during the last several hours in Lahore.

Earlier, Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Usman Anwar claimed that arms were recovered during a search operation at Imran Khan’s house in Lahore. He told the reporters during a press conference, flanked by caretaker provincial Information Minister Amir Mir, “We have recovered arms from Khan’s house. There are more weapons present in his house. An impression was being given that Zaman Park was a no-go area in the city, but we have cleared the area,”.
PTI chief Imran Khan also criticized Punjab police for conducting a search operation at his house in Lahore, and said that he would “immediately” move to court against the police’ actions for “violating the sanctity of his house” and resorting to “violence” against workers of PTI.
