ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has asked the Pakistan Tehreeke-e-Insaf (PTI) to contact the Islamabad district administration to seek permission for the landing of party chief Imran Khan’s helicopter at Parade Ground.
In a written verdict, IHC judge Aamir Farooq said that the high court could not issue directives to the Islamabad administration to allow Imran’s helicopter to land in Islamabad.
The court said that the Islamabad deputy commissioner was the competent authority and the court could not ask him regarding the landing of the copper.
The IHC verdict said that it was the prerogative of the district administration and the deputy commissioner to take a decision in this regard and the PTI should take up the matter with the district administration.
The court said that whatever decision, in this regard, is taken by the Islamabad district administration, it will, hopefully, be taken according to the law.
The IHC court issued the verdict on a plea of the PTI, which had pleaded to the court to issue instructions to the Islamabad district administration to allow the helicopter with Imran Khan onboard to land at the Parade Ground.
