LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that the rivals want to win the polls by spreading fear, local media reported.
While addressing supporters and workers of PTI, he said that the time has come to stand against the rulers and said, “Everyone should get ready to participate in jihad for real independence.” Imran Khan said that they are facing “restrictions on the election campaign” despite the announcement of the poll schedule. He claimed that “80 cases” were registered against him and the “rulers” are trying to spread fear to win the elections in the country.”

Imran Khan said the PTI would also raise the matter of the death of its party worker Ali Bilal who had lost his life in the PTI’s rally in Lahore with the court. He strongly criticized the current government, adding that they destroyed the country’s economy. The former Prime Minister said that the rulers dissolved corruption cases worth Rs100 billion against them. Imran Khan said that the country is getting poor but the rulers are getting richer with each passing day.
Imran Khan accused former president Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif are looting Pakistan for 30 years and it is the correct time to stand against all the corrupt elements. On Thursday, Imran Khan said, “arrest me or disqualify me, we have won the match.”
In an interaction with senior journalists, former prime minister Imran Khan claimed that the rulers are making efforts to send him to jail or declare him disqualified. Imran Khan further accused the current government is fleeing from elections and trying to ‘expel’ him from the country’s politics.
