ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that the Supreme Court’s decision on reserved seats would be remembered in history as triumph of justice as his party had clinched its rightful place.
Speaking to media persons, Barrister Gohar, flanked by other party leaders, stated that they had persistently raised concerns regarding the illegal conduct that deprived the PTI of its legitimate entitlement to reserved seats. However, he stated that the apex court’s decision had given a clear message to those seeking to undermine his political party.
Applauding the verdict of the SC, he asserted that the decision about PTI’s reserved seats was based on principles of justice.
He stated that today is a milestone day for all Pakistanis and democracy as this verdict will be remembered in the annals of history.
Barrister Gohar urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to promptly execute the direction of the SC, expressing hope that the reserved seats would be rightfully allocated to the PTI. On the occasion, Advocate Salman Akram Raja stated that the Constitution of Pakistan has won.
