ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, on Wednesday renewed his call for negotiations to bring the country out of the current political and economic mess.

In his social media speech, he said that Pakistan was heading towards a direction that has no safe return, and if the establishment did not start negotiations with him, it would be a blunder on its part.

Imran Khan stressed that he did not want talks to benefit himself but “the country instead”.

PTI Chief Criticizes Government

While criticizing the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government, he said that it has turned Pakistan into a ‘’banana republic’’ where there is no law. The government only wanted to crush the PTI, and its leaders were being illegally incarcerated until they quit the party.

Imran Khan said that due to bad governance, the state institutions have been weakened, hampered the country’s development process.
