PSX Records Marginal Loss of 33 Points in Tuesday’s Trading Session

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a slight downturn on Tuesday as the 100-index lost 33.27 points, reflecting a negative change of 0.07 percent. The market closed at 45,009.34 points compared to 45,042.61 points in the previous trading day.

During the session, a total of 254,960,671 shares were traded, indicating a decrease from the previous day’s volume of 314,785,498 shares. The value of shares traded stood at Rs 7.322 billion, surpassing the previous day’s value of Rs 6.770 billion.

Companies Participation and Shares in PSX

Among the 332 companies participating in the stock market, 117 recorded gains while 193 sustained losses. The share price of 22 companies remained unchanged.

The top three companies in terms of trading volume were Bank of Punjab, with 29,935,500 shares traded at Rs 4.05 per share, followed by WorldCall Telecom with 22,845,944 shares traded at Rs 1.32 per share, and Haves Home Appl with 8,599,500 shares traded at Rs 6.37 per share.

Colgate Palm experienced the highest increase in share price, with a rise of Rs 74.59 per share, closing at Rs 1,619.92. Sapphire Tex secured the second position with a per share price increase of Rs 74.48, reaching Rs 1,124.99.

On the other hand, Khairpur Sugar observed the maximum decrease in share price, declining by Rs 21.90 to close at Rs 270.10. Pak Services followed with a decrease of Rs 20.01 per share, closing at Rs 749.99.
