PSX Continues Bullish Trajectory with Slight Gain

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its bullish trajectory on Tuesday, posting a marginal gain of 15.59 points or 0.04 percent, with the index closing at 41,452.69 points compared to the previous day’s closing of 41,437.10 points.

During the trading session, a total of 234,748,468 shares were traded, reflecting an increase from the previous day’s trading volume of 226,821,151 shares. The value of shares traded stood at Rs. 7.476 billion, an improvement from Rs. 7.010 billion recorded on the last trading day.

Out of the 308 companies that participated in the stock market, 137 witnessed gains, while 156 companies experienced losses. The share price of 15 companies remained unchanged.

The top three trading companies based on volume were Bankislami Pak with 17,426,502 shares traded at Rs. 17.76 per share, WorldCall Telecom with 11,679,503 shares traded at Rs. 1.09 per share, and Oil and Gas Dev. with 10,932,081 shares traded at Rs. 78.00 per share.

Among individual stocks, Rafhan Maize witnessed the highest increase, with its share price rising by Rs. 50.00 to close at Rs. 8,400.00. Mehmood Tex. XB followed closely, experiencing a rise of Rs. 36.25 in its share price, closing at Rs. 650.00.

On the other hand, Bhanero Tex observed the highest decrease, with its share price declining by Rs. 51.67 to close at Rs. 948.33. Mari Petroleum followed suit with a decline of Rs. 20.41, closing at Rs. 1,514.64.

These fluctuations in the stock market reflect the dynamic nature of the investment landscape, with investors closely monitoring market trends and individual company performances.
