PSX-100 Turns Bullish After Recent Bearish Trend, Gains 495 Points

ISLAMABAD: After repeated losses for a couple of days, the 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around from a bearish to a bullish trend on Thursday, gaining 495.44 points, witnessing a positive change of 1.04 percent, closing at 39,838.33 as compared to 39,342.89 points on Wednesday.

A total of 194,531,037 shares were traded on Thursday against 166,000,710 shares the previous day, while the price of shares was recorded at Rs 5.486 billion against Rs 4.052 billion on the last trading day.

PSX Bullish Trend

As many as 329 companies executed their shares in the stock market, where 238 companies recorded gains and 79 witnessed losses, while the share price of 12 companies was recorded as unchanged.

Cnergyico, Pak Refinery, and TPL Properties traded at the top with 17,409,235 shares at Rs 3.85 per share, 13,016,812 shares at Rs 13.23 per share, and 10,100,129 shares at Rs 17.75 per share respectively.

During trading, the Rafhan Maize company recorded a maximum increase of Rs 156 per share price, closing at Rs 7,911, while Bata (Pak) was the runner-up with a Rs 83.00 rise in its per share price to Rs 1,725.

Another company, Nestle Pakistan recorded the maximum decrease of Rs 99.90 per share closing at Rs5,250.00 followed by Mehmood Textile with a Rs 66.25 decrease to close at Rs 817.17.
