RAWALPINDI: The skipper Shadab Khan provided a crucial breakthrough to Islamabad United as he sent packing Multan Sultan’s opener Mohammad Rizwan right after the powerplay.
Openers Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood gave a steady start to Multan Sultans after they yielded 57 runs in the powerplay. Rizwan smashed 33 off 18 balls before getting dismissed off Shadab’s clever bowling. He edged the ball behind the stumps, with Azam Khan taking a sharp catch.
Earlier, Islamabad United won the toss and invited Multan Sultans to bat in their clash of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023.
