ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the prize money for the ongoing 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which began on 11 April.

The six participating teams will compete for the prestigious Luminara Trophy, along with a winner’s prize of USD 500,000. According to the PCB’s official statement, the runners-up will receive USD 200,000.

The Luminara Trophy, which was unveiled last month in a visually striking three-minute promotional video shot along Karachi’s scenic coastline, symbolises the celebration of a decade of PSL.

The tournament started with a star-studded ceremony at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on 11 April.

The event delivered a vibrant mix of entertainment, featuring performances from iconic Sufi singer Abida Parveen, pop artist Ali Zafar, and the hip-hop duo Young Stunners.

Following the ceremony, the season opener saw defending champions Islamabad United face off against two-time winners Lahore Qalandars.

HBL PSL 10 comprises 34 matches, running from 11 April to 18 May. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 fixtures, including the two Eliminators and the grand finale.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will stage 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on 13 May, while the National Bank Stadium in Karachi and the Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five matches throughout the tournament.
