KARACHI: The remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 are likely to resume later this week, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) proposing a schedule from 17 to 25 May, according to media reports citing sources familiar with the discussions.
Franchise and PCB officials have been engaged in meetings over the past several days to finalise logistics, including venue selection and foreign player availability. A final decision is expected to be announced soon, according to media reports.
The PCB has proposed restarting the tournament in Rawalpindi, with the final to be held in Lahore.
However, franchises have reportedly suggested that all matches be held at a single venue—either Lahore or Rawalpindi—to avoid logistical complications and minimise travel.
The league was postponed due to heightened regional security concerns, with eight matches left in the tournament. The suspension came as the PSL 10 entered its final stages.
Efforts are also under way to ensure the availability of foreign players. While some overseas cricketers have confirmed their return, franchises and PSL management are developing contingency plans, local media reported.
After 27 matches, Quetta Gladiators sit at the top of the points table, having secured six wins, two losses, and one no result from nine matches.
Karachi Kings follow in second place with 10 points from eight matches, while defending champions Islamabad United are in third with the same number of points from nine games.
Lahore Qalandars hold fourth position with nine points from four wins, four losses, and one no result, while Peshawar Zalmi are fifth with eight points from nine matches. Multan Sultans have been eliminated from playoff contention, managing only one win in nine games.
